2012 Trunk or Treat Brings Out the Cool (and the Costumes)

Trunk or Treat
One of the “trunks” at Mt. Wesley Akin’s Trunk or Treat

The parking lot of Mt. Wesley Akin Nazarene Church was filled with ghouls, vampires, ninjas, cats, princesses, firefighters and… trucks full of candy Halloween night. Church members and trick-or-treaters alike braved the frigid evening to enjoy some time out celebrating the holiday.

In the “spirit” of the evening, trucks were decorated with traditional Halloween fare, such as jack-o-lanterns, skeletons that danced in the wind, and even a haunting Halloween rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack.

Of course it was all in fun, and many young and older folks alike dropped by to enjoy a safe and happy Halloween outing. Hope to see you next year! Meanwhile, enjoy the slideshow below.

Halloween Moon Over Mt. Wesley Akin
The bright, waning Halloween moon was nearly enough to light the Mt. Wesley Akin Nazarene parking lot by itself on Halloween night. We still added our own effects.

This Wall-E was only one of the many clever costumes we saw on Halloween.
